What is self-publishing?
Self-publishing means you don’t go through a traditional publisher to make your book available to the public. It also means you decide how to price your work, where to distribute it, and in which format(s). You can use online platforms to publish
your book as an e-book, paperback, or hardcover. Readers can buy it directly, and the platform handles printing and shipping each order—so you don’t have to worry about stacks of unsold books at home.
You don’t have to do it alone.
Self-publishing doesn’t mean doing everything yourself; it means getting editorial support where needed but remaining in creative control over your story and its distribution.
Especially if you struggle with meticulous work, repetitive tasks, and multi-stage planning, I’m here to support you. As your editor and personal publishing assistant, I help turn your draft into a print-ready manuscript: You are the visionary; I am the architect. I’m also here to bring focus and organisation to your bubbling creativity. We achieve the most when we work with people who complement our skills.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT WORKING WITH ME
-
Unlike most in the industry, I help you publish without taking a cut. Depending on the self-publishing platform you choose, you retain between 60% and 100% of your chosen sales price.
-
Even if I write or edit parts of your book, nothing gets signed away. You are the author and you keep full ownership of your files and published content.
-
You decide on which platforms your book is published, how it’s priced, and when (or if) to update it later. You also get to choose your design and formatting. Everything is custom-made to reflect your story’s uniqueness.
-
Throughout the editing process, I’ll offer my professional input but never impose my preferences. That means I won’t alter, trim, or sanitise your work. You’ll always have the final say.
-
The way you think, feel, and communicate carries a creative depth others will struggle to replicate. Your ideas feel fresh, real, and surprising. I’m here to help you bring that brilliance forward in written—without letting it get weighed down by boring admin and rigid formalities.
-
Not every story is an easy story. I respect your pace and boundaries, recognise the impact of past experiences, and prioritise your emotional well-being throughout the writing and publishing process.
-
I do not offer services to individuals or organisations whose work promotes hate, discrimination, or oppressive ideologies—including but not limited to racism, ableism, transphobia, fatphobia, or misogyny. If your story relies on dehumanising others, I’m not the right publishing partner for you.

The processes required to self-publish isn’t quite desgined with neurodivergent authors in mind.
Self-publishing in inevitably a long-term project of low-dopamine tasks that requires a high degree of executive function, which can bring a sense of overwhelm and lead to burnout.
The Solution?

The Process
-
Before you begin, I help you create a publishing plan tailored to your project and individual time budget. This plan maps out each step from draft to launch and includes important deadlines, helping you maintain oversight and reduce the anxiety that can come when self-publishing for the first time.
-
—For Non-Fiction and Biographical Fiction—
Once your manuscript is drafted, I look at the whole piece and ask questions like: Does the structure make sense and is it coherent? Can the reasoning be followed? Are certain ideas missing, repeated, or unresolved? Together, we strengthen your arguments and ensure your chapters build logically, conceptually, recursively, or non-linearly, depending on the narrative style you choose. -
Once the developmental edit is complete, your draft moves through a round of line and copy edits.
Line editing works at the sentence-level, and targets flow, rhythm, and tone of voice.
Copy editing focuses on the technical aspects of the writing: punctuation, grammar, consistency.
-
When your manuscript is fully edited, I prepare it for publishing. This includes:
E-book Formatting: If you’re publishing digitally, I’ll convert your manuscript into an EPUB file (the industry standard format for e-books). Additionally, I can provide a mobile-optimised version to ensure a smooth reading experience on smartphones.
Print Typesetting: If you’re publishing a paperback or hardcover, I’ll typeset and format your manuscript to meet the specific requirements of each platform, such as trim sizes, margins, fonts, and accepted file formats.
The result is a beautiful, professional layout that supports your story.
-
A final proofread ensures your manuscript is polished and ready for publication. I like to work from a proof copy of your book (a preliminary print copy and/or the final EPUB) so I can catch any remaining typos, spelling errors, punctuation mistakes, and formatting inconsistencies in the final format.
-
With final files in hand, your book is ready to be published. This includes:
Setting up your author accounts on your self-publishing platform(s) of choice
Uploading your files
Adding keywords, your author bio, book descriptions, and ISBNs
Reviewing everything together before going live
Once approved, your book is available for sale within 24 to 72 hours — in your chosen formats, under your name, and on your terms.
I guide you through the entire publishing process, or you can choose to work with me on individual parts only.
