Hi, I’m Julia.

I help you shape your life story into a finished book and publish it for you.

Want to work together on your book?

Publishing a book can sound overwhelming—I’m here to guide you every step of the way to becoming a self-published author.

Fact is: You reading this means the world needs to hear your story. The wisdom you’ve gained from navigating life’s challenges has the power to help others. Sharing your voice can make someone else feel heard. Your perspective can make a lasting impact on someone else’s life.

If there’s still a voice in the back of your head whispering that you’re not a real writer—that’s a lie. You are. And only you can tell your story your way.

When you’re ready to have your manuscript proofread, formatted, and uploaded to the self-publishing platform of your choice, I can take care of it.

Please don’t be discouraged by barriers that seem to block you from becoming an author. Especially if you’re dyslexic, neurodivergent, part of an underrepresented community, or have ever been made to feel that your voice doesn’t deserve to be published, I’d love to work with you. Together, we shape your ideas into a finished manuscript.

Unsure how to get your book published? You don’t have to have it all figured out. Let’s do that together.

How does independent publishing work?

Independent publishing means you don’t go through a traditional publisher to make your book available to the public. It also means you decide how to price your work, where to distribute it, and in which format(s). Once your book is available on your platform of choice, all royalties remain with you.

On platforms like Amazon KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing), Lulu, or Ingram Spark ,your book can be made available as an e-book, paperback, or hardcover. Readers can buy it directly, and they print and ship copies as orders come in—so you don’t need to worry about inventory.

Publishing at Your Pace

Maybe writing isn’t your full-time job, so publishing your book should be flexible enough to fit around your life. Here’s an overview of the steps from manuscript to published book. While you can fully hand over steps 1, 2, and 4 to me, steps 3 and 5 are ones we’ll go through together—whenever you’re ready and have the time.

  1. Finalising Your Manuscript

First, we’ll make sure your manuscript is fully edited and professionally formatted to meet the publishing platform’s guidelines for both print and e-book versions.

  2. Designing Your Cover

Your cover needs to be the right size and resolution. If you already have a cover, great! If not, I can connect you with a designer.

  3. Setting Up Your KDP Account

I’ll walk you through creating your free Amazon KDP account, where you’ll manage your book, set your pricing, and track your sales.

  4. Uploading Your Book

Now it’s time to enter all the important details—title, description, keywords, categories. I’ll make sure your manuscript and cover are uploaded correctly, and preview before publishing. For print books, I’ll order us author copies before your book goes live.

  5. Setting Your Price & Distribution

You decide how much to charge for your book and where it will be available. I’ll explain the different pricing options and help you make a decision that fits your goals. Once everything looks right, you’ll click publish, and within 24-72 hours, your book will be live!

After publishing, you can monitor your sales, update your book at any time, and start promoting it to your audience. I’ll make sure you know how to navigate everything so you feel confident moving forward.

Publishing your book sounds like a lot of work? No need to worry, we’ve got this.
